Goodnight Dungeon (“the App,” “we,” “us”) is a family bedtime and rewards app developed by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices parents and guardians have. It applies to the Goodnight Dungeon iOS app and any related services.
The App is designed for use by a parent or guardian together with their children, as a shared family device experience. A parent or guardian creates and controls the account; children do not sign up for the App on their own and do not provide information directly to us outside of what a parent sets up on their behalf.

When a parent creates an account, we (through our infrastructure provider, Firebase Authentication) collect:
A parent creates each child profile and provides:
As a child plays, the App also stores gameplay data tied to that profile: in-game level and experience, earned points, owned in-game items, stat allocations, and quest/dungeon history. This data reflects play activity, not real-world information about the child.
The App includes an optional “Battle Arena” feature that lets two children from different families compete if they exchange a battle code (similar to a friend code). If a parent or child uses this feature, the following limited information about that child's profile becomes visible to whoever has the code: first name/nickname, avatar, and in-game character stats (level, gear, and similar gameplay data).
The child's profile code (PIN), points balance, and any information about the parent's account are never included in this shared data.
The App itself does not currently integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. Our infrastructure provider, Firebase, may automatically process standard technical data (such as device identifiers used for authentication sessions) as part of operating sign-in and data sync — see Section 5.
We use the information described above only to operate the App's core features:
We do not use information collected through the App to build advertising profiles, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to operating the App's features described in this Policy.
We use Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Firestore) to store account and gameplay data securely and to sync it across a family's devices. Firebase acts as our data processor/infrastructure provider under its own terms and security practices. We do not share data with any other third party for their own independent use.
As described in Section 3.3, the optional Battle Arena feature shares a limited set of gameplay information (first name/nickname, avatar, and character stats) with another family, but only when a battle code is deliberately shared to initiate a match.
We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and designed the App around parental control from the start:
Parental consent. By creating a parent account and adding a child profile, the parent or guardian is providing consent for the collection and use of the child's profile information as described in this Policy.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information outside of your control, or you would like to review, correct, or delete that information, contact us using the information in Section 10 — see also Section 7 for how to do this directly within the App.
A parent can, at any time, directly within the App:
We retain family account and child profile data for as long as the parent account remains active, so that progress and history are preserved across sessions and devices. If a parent deletes a child's profile or their own account, associated data is removed from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Family data is stored using Firebase's security infrastructure, with access rules that scope each family's private data (account details, points, gear, dungeons) so it is only readable by that family's authenticated parent account. Information intentionally shared through the Battle Arena feature (Section 3.3) is, by design, readable by other users who have the corresponding battle code.
The 4-digit profile code used to switch between child profiles is a convenience feature for shared family devices, not a security password, and should not be relied upon to protect sensitive information.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify parents through the App. Continued use of the App after a change becomes effective means you accept the revised Policy.
